What is Aurora?
Aurora is an all-in-one Discord bot with a web dashboard. Here is what it does and how it is organised.
Aurora is a modular, multi-guild Discord bot. One bot, one configuration system and one database cover the moderation, security, community, support, automation, leveling, economy and entertainment features a server needs, and a web dashboard lets your team manage them from a browser.
How it is organised#
Aurora is split into modules. A module is a family of commands, buttons and automatic behaviour that you can switch on or off for each server, and switching one off never deletes its settings.
On by default: Moderation, Security, Welcome & roles, Info commands, Birthdays, Suggestions, Polls, Logging, Fun, Games and Reminders.
Off until you enable them: Leveling, Economy, Tickets, Reputation, Quotes, AFK, Counting, Giveaways, Starboard, Temporary voice and Automation.
See First setup for how to switch modules, and the pages under Modules for what each one does.
Discord commands and the dashboard#
Most things you can do with a command you can also do in the dashboard. Both go through the same services, with the same permission checks and the same audit trail, so a change behaves the same wherever it was made. A few actions stay Discord-only on purpose, for example banning, kicking and timing out members.
What Aurora does not do#
It does not write your members' message text to its database. Log embeds can show message text only if the server enables Discord's Message Content intent. See Data & privacy.
It does not ask for the Administrator permission when you add it. See Add Aurora.
