Troubleshooting
Common problems and what to check: missing commands, "module is off", permissions, scheduling and moved command names.
A command is missing or says the module is off#
Many modules are off by default. Check /config module-list or the dashboard's Modules page and switch the module on. Stored data is kept while a module is off.
"I am missing permissions" or an action fails#
Check the dashboard's Health page for what Aurora can do on your server.
Make sure Aurora's role is above the roles it should manage (reward roles, autoroles, quarantine).
Check that the person has the right Aurora group. See Permissions.
Aurora does not respond#
Run /aurora status. If it does not answer, check the status page. Slash commands can take a moment to appear after Aurora is added.
AutoMod does nothing#
AutoMod rules are off until you enable them. Message rules also need the Message Content intent; /security status says which engines are inactive and why.
I cannot schedule a message in the dashboard#
Scheduling needs the Automation module. See Scheduling.
I cannot sign in to the dashboard, or my server is missing#
You need to be the owner, a Discord Administrator or hold an Aurora group, and Aurora must be on the server. Sessions end after 8 hours idle. See Dashboard login.
Where did a command go?#
Discord limits a bot to 100 commands, so related commands were folded into namespaces. Discord has no aliases, so the old names no longer exist. Per-server restrictions set under an old name keep applying.
